A HUGE
THANK YOU!
To all who participated in Wednesday night's
We had a tremendous turnout and had fun visiting with each other in our newly designed Relief Society Restaurant (thanks to Tiffany Hodson for bringing in half her house to decorate)!Chicken Soup for the Soul!
We enjoyed delicious homemade chicken soup by sous chef Karen Jackson ... Can anyone say "magnifique?!" Cristina Zabala gets the award for the most onions and carrots chopped in a single day.
We were entertained with a cute rendition of Rosemary Clooney's "Sisters" by two amazingly talented singers, Karen Lake and Marilyn Lamb (and, yes, the check's in the mail)!
Next, we heard from some of our wonderful sisters: Suzy Carter, Stephanie Osborne, Nadine Payne, Louise Robertson, Kristy Burdg, Mary Frazier, Shirley Stidham, and Marci Paul. Each had a beautiful story to share and we were touched.
Then, we topped the evening off with a scrumptious "nest" cupcake made by the talented Paulette Tagaloa - our very own pastry chef!
At the end of the night, we were all given a small gift made by Laureen Leaver which included a wonderful quote by President Monson (see below).
Nancy Kraus did an amazing job of conducting, as well as thinking of everything, AND making sure the whole evening ran smoothly!
Thanks also to Joyce Warner who created a fun and festive children's class for the kids to attend ... they even had their own birthday party!
All in all, it was a wonderful evening that was filled with the Spirit. Each sister came away with a stronger feeling of shared sisterhood. The Relief Society really is "Chicken Soup for the Soul." We truly are blessed to have one another.
