In thy Dark Streets Shineth
the Everlasting Light....
A HUGE THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO MADE OUR
ANNUAL CHRISTMAS DINNER A HUGE SUCCESS AND SO MUCH FUN!
We couldn't have done it without all the hard work and effort
of the Relief Society Activities Committee!
Also, a GREAT BIG thank you to our hosts for the night:
The Kraus Family &
The Gardner Family
They opened their beautiful and inviting homes to us - and we had a wonderful time! It's not easy having 60 women gather in your home! Anyone up for next year?
Heartfelt thanks go to Kim Gardner for her words of inspiration and guidance - we are not ordinary women, and we will always try to remember it!
A heartfelt thank you to our talented chefs:
to Laureen Leaver and Cristina Zabala for the delicious salad,
to Karen Jackson for the amazing coconut rice,
and to Tiffany Hodson for making the yummy sweet and sour meatballs!
Muchas Gracias to Laureen Leaver and Vicki Myers for providing the hot chocolate and all the toppings! It really warmed us!
And many, many thanks to all of the sisters in the ward who contributed a plate full of delicious cookies to share with everyone..... and Joyce Warner for her always cheerful manner - and calling and cheerfully reminding everyone to bring them!
Laureen Leaver made professional-looking hand outs to go with the cookie plates, which listed all of the upcoming Christmas activities in our ward and stake. She also printed up music for the caroling...... thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
Many thanks also to Annelle Wells for the thoughtful gift, the "n.o.w." key chains, which will help us remember Kim's inspirational message.
And what would we do without Stephanie Osborne and her crew for performing the traveling skit (we are grateful for her lyrical abilities!), for buying the paper goods, for helping with set up/clean up, and for thinking of all the little details.
We appreciate Holly McCormick for her artistic abilities in making the decorative posters that we put in the foyers at church, and for all her help in setting up and cleaning up.....
and Glenda Stoldt for all her loving service - setting up, decorating, and serving food.
Much appreciation goes to Nancy Kraus for her generous donation of pretty paper for our invitations.
Thank you to Cyndi Stringham for coordinating the musical portion of the program..... and making copies of the music, to Toni Ho for providing heavenly piano music,
and to Savannah Lake for her sweet performance that was filled with the Spirit ..... it really
set the tone for the whole evening.
The Christmas caroling was mucho fun-o, and we had some wonderful, touching experiences with some of the sisters in our ward that we don't get to see as often as we'd like ..... we are grateful to Annelle for her inspired leadership in coordinating the Christmas caroling carpools! (Can anyone say alliteration?)
Our love and eternal thanks also to our wonderful, supportive husbands - without whom the committee could NEVER have pulled it off!
We also want to thank the Young Women who graciously volunteered their time to be of service to the sisters in the ward who needed child care.
We are grateful to Tammy Smith for all her R.S. emails (I think we drove her crazy) which helped the sisters know what in the world was going on....
And, finally, thank you to the Relief Society Presidency (Kim, Annelle, Becca, and Tammy) for
all their hard work, each and every day, on our behalf. We truly appreciate your inspired leadership!
Danke, Merci, Grazie, Arigato, Mahalo, Xie Xie
........ to Everyone!!!
May we remember to share His Everlasting Light
this Christmas season and throughout the coming year!
